Youth Empowerment through Sport / YES

Youth Empowerment through Sport (YES) is a program designed to give young people leadership skills to manage and run their own sporting activities, events and competitions, and also take charge of their lives. The program was initiated in 2016 by Adnane El Idrissi based on his own experience in producing international sports events, with a view of providing the youth from rural communities in the eastern central region of Morocco, especially young girls with a safe haven where they can play and also discuss issues that affect their lives. The program provides opportunities for young people from rural communities to develop personal and social responsibility in sport participation, leadership, team building activities, and Sexual reproduction health services. YES provides the youth with the opportunity to take an active part in the leadership and development agenda of society.

Some of the classes developed and provided by the YES program are

  1. Sports events management and development
  2. Sporting Goods and the Sports Business
  3. Sports Showcasing training
  4. Events Project management

YES offers training to community volunteers interested in facilitating the program in their community settings. Since its inception, the organization has been working with the youth by giving them guidance, empowering them through sports and sports initiatives, introducing them to the sports showbusiness, and showing them many opportunities related to sports.
